An applicant will be able to apply for one resource concern and only one application in the county wide pool.

All applications received will be ranked according to the National 2016 EQIP ranking tool.

The first batching period for ranking and prioritizing applications will end October 16, 2015. Any applications received after a batching, will be considered in the next batching pool if funds are available.

All applications under the number one priority resource concern would be approved first and in the order of the ranking score, highest to lowest score. If funding remains, applications under the number two priority resource concern would be approved and in the order of the ranking score, highest to lowest score.

All applications under the number three priority resource concern would be approved and in the order of the ranking score, highest to lowest score. If funding remains, all applications under the number four priority resource concern would be approved in the order of the ranking score, highest to lowest score.

If funding remains, all applications under the number five priority resource concern would be approved and in the order of the ranking score, highest to lowest score. If funding remains, all applicants from the 2nd batching pool would be ranked and funded from the first priority resource concern in the order of highest to lowest score, followed by the 2nd priority resource concern in the order of highest to lowest ranking score, then the third priority resource concern from highest to lowest score and so on and so on until all funds are exhausted.

In the event of a tie between applications, the applications will be ranked by sign-up date. If the tie is not broken, the applications will then be ranked according to contract cost, with the lowest estimated contract cost ranking the highest.

All conservation practices in the 2016 Alabama NRCS EQIP Practice and payment Schedule will be available for use in solving the conservation needs on the farm. Payment rates on all practices will be the same as listed in the 2016 Alabama NRCS EQIP Practice and Payment Schedule.

Limited Resource Farmers, New and Beginning Farmers, and Socially Disadvantaged Farmers (collectively referred to as Historically Underserved, HU) will receive a higher rate of financial assistance.
