  4. Forest Health and Wildlife
  5. Irrigation Water Management

The fiscal year 2016 Alabama NRCS state approved EQIP Practice and Payment Schedule for Practices and Restrictions and Payment Rates will be used for planned conservation practices to address the priority resource concerns.

Limited Resource Farmers, New and Beginning Farmers, and Socially Disadvantaged Farmers will be paid at an increased payment rate.

All applications will be ranked using the national NRCS Ranking Tool and approvals will be given to those applications that will provide the greatest environmental benefits, i.e. those receiving the most environmental points. The highest ranking application in each resource concern will be approved until all funds have been obligated.

Eligible practices and restrictions will be the same as the statewide list with the exception of ponds. Ponds will be ineligible for funding.

Contracts will be developed for approved applications in order of descending environmental points, until all funds are obligated. The first batching period for ranking and application prioritization will be October 16, 2015. Additional batching periods will be held if subsequent allocations are received.
